A lot of the “free” QR code sites hand you a code that points at their own redirect server rather than at your link. It works fine — until the trial runs out, and the poster on the church noticeboard quietly starts opening a sales page. The codes made here hold the link itself. There’s no account, no middleman, and nothing to renew.
A few things worth knowing
- Scan it before you print it. Try two different phones, at the size it will actually be printed. The size hint under the code is a floor, not a target — bigger is always easier.
- SVG for print, PNG for everything else. Send the SVG to your printer or designer; it stays sharp at any size. Use the PNG for documents, slides and WhatsApp.
- A Wi-Fi code carries the password. Anyone who can see it can join. Perfect for a guest network or an event hall; not for the office network.
- Contact cards import straight into the phone’s contacts. Leave out what you don’t need — a short card gives a smaller, easier code, which matters on a name card.
Need a page for the code to point at — a donation page, an event sign-up, a booking form? That’s the other half of what we do.
